custom excerpt is not able to show line break

  • Hi,

    I’m using the post grid plugin with my own custom excerpt.

    Eventhough I have added <br/> as line break in my custom excerpt, but it’s not showing the line break.

    I’ve set the ?the Strip Tags option by checking the “Don′t remove any tags” checkbox.

    The “Generate excerpts even if a post has a custom excerpt attached” is unchecked.

    However, the “Use the custom excerpt (if disabled the excerpt is generated from the content)” checkbox is disabled. I can’t seem to check the checkbox.

    May I know what do I need to configure to show the line break on the excerpts shown in my post listing (using the post grid plugin)?

    Does the plugin affect the excerpt at all? If you for example set the excerpt length to something like 5 words does it actually shorten it in the front-end?
