Custom featured posts

    Hi,

    actually “featured posts” chooses the last posts of the desired category.

    What I would like to obtain is showing the last post for each category (up to a maximum number).

    I’ve found this is done in inc/views/blog/class-hestia-header-layout-manager.php (sadly posts selection and rendering are merged).

    I’ve created a child them, but I was not able to replace the hooked function with a custom one, nor overriding the class method with a derived one.

    How should I proceed?

    This task will require some custom modifications, which we are not able to describe here. You should consider hiring a freelancer who can give you a hand.
