Custom field adjustments in profile not saving

    Hi,

    I have added extra/ custom fields (like adding a Facebook link) to the personal profile form. However, when I enter a link and press the save button, nothing happens. It looks like nothing is saving.

    Also I was wandering if the custom (UM) fields can be seen in a profile in the WP backend for an Admin? So when I have added my Facebook link above, an Admin of my website can check my profile and also sees the Facebook link?

    Hi @richard_vermeer

    1. Could you please tell me what version of UM you’ve installed on your site?
    2. You can see the submitted data( on registration ) via User List in WP Admin > Users > see click “View info” in each user in the list. Unfortunately, there’s no custom fields available in WP Admin to show real-time data. You can add the custom fields from Register form to your Profile Form.

    Hi,

    Thank you for answering my question.

    I have installed version 2.1.1 of UM.

    Just to be sure: I can only see data if the field is added to the registration form? If the field is added afterwards in the profile form, I can not see the data?

    The reason for my questions is that we want to re-use the profile data in another solution/functionality/plugin. In which table is the UM data saved in the database?

    Hi @richard_vermeer

    UM is using wp_user & wp_usermeta tables. The field meta keys in Register form should be the same meta keys for Profile Form fields. And the Profile form shortcode should be added to your User/Profile page so you can view it in front-end.
