Custom Field Colour Picker

  • This one seems to a rare find, but does anyone have a method to create a Custom Field for a colour picker (using the WP built-in selector)? Keep in mind, I’m not looking for a plugin, but a basic method to do a custom field for this. I’ve looked 10 pages deep in Google results and even at WP here, but nothing really substantial.

  • WordPress includes the Farbtastic color picker script by default.

    Thanks Nate for the two links you provided. I will look these over, although having a colour selector in my theme control panel already has one (colorPicker from eyecon.ro). More specifically, I was looking for an actual custom field version for post and page types as my theme I am making uses custom fields for portions of the layout and allows individual page/post customizations.

    I was just looking for the same solution as GPixels. Has anybody come across anything yet? I’m using Contact Form 7 right now and was trying to integrate a color picker in to a product order form so clients could select an exact color for the background graphics we will produce. I’ve tried to install Jquery scripts like Farbtastic and JSColor, but haven’t been able to get it to either look or function properly. Looks like Joomla and Drupal both have a solution for this, so I’m hoping it’s just something I haven’t discovered yet. Thanks in advance for any help!
