Custom Field Date Formatting

  • I am using ACF for custom fields. One field type is Date Picker with the Display Format and Return Format as: l F j, Y

    The output generated by Ultimate Posts Widget is:

    <div class=”custom-field custom-field-date”> 20171205 </div>

    What would I add to my custom template to format the date as Tuesday December 5, 2017 rather than 20171205
