Custom Field for Short Description

    I want to use an additional custom field for a short description (tooltip) or limit the tooltip for 100 letters or so. Is this possible?

  • Custom fields are possible with posts, maybe also with tags. But you need a different plugin for that.

    The tag clouds of Tag Groups can show the tag description in the tooltip, but the plugin does not change the length.

    Thank you for the quick answer! I need the description field for the (long) description of the tag, but this is too long for a tooltip. Is there a way to get a short tooltip (1 word) *and* a long description? In the premium maybe?

    Not yet, but I will check if it makes sense for a future version. Maybe with a filter. It’s not a very frequent use case.
