Custom field image formatting.

On my site, I have several teasers which pull a custom field image from whatever category they are assigned to, but the text is running straight into the image, does anyone know where I would apply like an hspace formatting to this?

I guess it’s just I’ve barely taught myself how to use custom fields at this point, as I’ve learned my way around by reverse engineering the site I was hired to work on.
