Custom Field ordering in loop grid

Hello.

I am using ACF to build out property listings, in addition to things like, bedrooms, bathrooms, etc, there is also a field for the price.

Properties are categorised into two categories – for sale and sold

I have three pages, one with properties for sale, one with sold properties and one with all.

Each page has a loop grid which displays categories, for sale, sold or both, respectively.

All of that is working fine (after some struggles), but now we want to order the properties in each loop grid by price… and that cannot be done at present.

I’ve faked it by editing the publication dates order to mirror the price order, but this is not a solution going forward.

How can I achieve this? It seems strange that I cannot determine the ordering of elements in a loop grid by a custom field….

Looking forward to any replies/more elegant workarounds than what I have come up with ??
