Custom field value %episode_number% or the shortcode value not being displayed

  • Hi!

I just recently installed your PRO plugin on this site, and I messaged you the following using the contact form on your site, but no answer was sent back.

I am trying to display a custom post value for each Podcast item, before the category of that post.

I am using this template for each post:

[acf field="episode_number"] | %category%

%title%

%thumb%

I also tried:

%episode_number% | %category%

%title%

%thumb%

The template is supposed to display the custom field value %episode_number% or the shortcode value [acf field="episode_number"] before the category, but it does not output anything.

Can you please assist?

    You are sure you use the pro and not the free version.

    We recoment to use the shortcode and it should work with the ACD field_name https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/resources/shortcode/

    Hi Daniel!

    I am positive I am using the Pro version, since it’s a different plugin install, and also, I had to purchase it.

    That is the shortcode I was using, and it did not work for me.

    What you can see now live, in the Podcast megamenu dropdown, is the Term and Category Posts widget, with this template:

    [acf field="episode_number"] | %category%

%title%

%thumb%

    And as you can see, the widget is not displaying the ACF shortcode.

    The reason I am writing here, is because I left a message with you on https://tiptoppress.com/support/ two days ago, and did not get a reply.

    Can you offer any guidance?
