I am using the free Formidable plug-in for building my forms. I want to have a custom field that is available on many forms.
For example I have an “Industry” on all my forms but they are all seen as different fields in my CRM.

I have tried copy/pasting the field key into another field that I want to match but the system changes the key when I save.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hey John,

Thank you for reaching out about this today.

The field key must be unique on each field. You can’t use an already used key on another field. Formidable Forms will automatically check this and change it when saving the form. You can read more about this here:
    https://formidableforms.com/knowledgebase/field-options/#kb-field-key

Does your CRM rely only on the field key? Can you use the label? The label can be the same on all the forms.

Let me know if you have additional question.

    First, thanks!
I am not set on the field names, ie, I can rename all the “industry” fields to match.
For the record, we are using the free Hubspot CRM plugin. I do not know how it decides how the fields match or don’t across forms.

    Hey John,

Thank you for sharing these additional details. I’m not familiar with the free Hubspot CRM plugin. I would suggest reaching out to their support here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/leadin/

They’ll be better positioned to recommend a solution since the field keys must be unique for each field.

Please feel free to let us know what they share with you and if you require further input form our side.

    Best,
