Custom Fields are buggy

First I just want to say I love this plugin and thank you for providing most of the functions free of charge. I look forward to purchasing additional extensions. ??

The repeatable text boxes keep adding new rows every time I update a client page. This only applies to the custom fields I’ve added. I click the “x” and delete the unnecessary rows but they keep appearing anyway.

This is frustrating because I access the client files frequently. I wonder if there’s anyway of preventing this?

Also is there any way to remove the pre-existing fields I don’t use? Or add edit/add new tabs?
