  • I was going to ask EXACTLY the same question!!

I run a community choir in which the prospective members register for a free taster session on a date of their choice (which I have created using a custom field on the forms builder add-on. It would be awesome if that date could be confirmed to them in the confirmation email I have edited.

Does anyone have an answer to this??

This is possible, you may use !!field_key!! in your emails which will automatically try to get the user meta.

For example if the user meta or Register Helper Field is stored as “country” you may use !!country!! inside your email template.

I have tried this with multiple fields. Unfortunately, I am not a coder so I need to be instructed like a 2 year old (haha!!) But here is a screenshot.
I cannot make the “Taster Date” appear in the email.

    ScreenShot 2

I would really appreciate some help with this.

How are you creating your custom fields @joemartin?

Here is a code example that may help you write your own custom variables to force it -> https://gist.github.com/strangerstudios/8585739

I just drag and dropped them from the list on the right.
You can just see the edge of the menu in ScreenShot 1

Sorry, what plugin are you using? This isn’t one I recognize from Paid Memberships Pro itself. Is it a third-party plugin?

No, I haven’t installed anything additional. Just the Paid Membership cap pro plug-in. This is part of the Register – Helper add-on. I just went to settings then email template

This looks like a third party plugin as the Register Helper does not have a GUI to creating fields. This may be a custom fields plugin by Figarts?

Please can you apply this gist, and tweak it to your needs to create a custom variable -> https://gist.github.com/strangerstudios/8585739

This should force your custom variables to be rewritten correctly. If you need help tweaking this, I recommend reaching out to a local WordPress developer.

I hope this helps get you started.
