custom fields / pdf-links / cryptic slug

i have been working the whole day with your wonderfull pro-version plugin – thanks for this great work, i have been searching for a solution for days, until a friend pointed me the right direction. most things work, great, three things i just do not get to work properly:

custom fields, i don’t know if i am just to stupid to understand, but i just do not get them to work. is there a step-by-step tutorial somewhere?

i need to be able to upload images (works wonderfull with wooslider) and i have to be able to upload pdfs, they should display as links, how can i achieve this?

and last but not least, i need cryptic urls for the user-submitted-posts, any suggestions how i can realise that? i must admit i havent yet been looking for solutions…
