Hi,

I only need some custom tabs on certain products but they seem to be showing a 0 even though I have left the description blank and I have got it set to ‘leave blank if empty’ in the premium tab on options. Please can you tell me how I can make the tabs not show on certain products.

Also, I have got a custom tab with the ‘Type’ set to ‘Text area’ but it’s not showing my line breaks and placing the text in one big chunk. Is there anyway to get the line breaks to show.

Thanks,
Jodie

• Hi Jodie,

1) The custom tabs are independent of custom fields, so unfortunately there’s no way to make the tabs conditional based on custom field.
One possible workaround would be to enable the “Display in Tabbed Layout?” option in the custom field settings (so it appears in “Additional Information” tab) then remove the additional tabs (from the ‘PRODUCT PAGE’ settings).

2) For the text area custom field: could you try adding
wherever you want the line break to occur?

For example:

Universal dry diamond core drill in all popular sizes.
1?2" BSP female thread takes?dry core accessories. Slotted barrel provides efficient dust clearance and ease of removing drilled core.
For brick and Block work.

Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me.

So I cannot have some of the tabs be hidden on certain products? If not then can I at least get rid of the 0 that appears in the tab when its left blank?

Moving the information into the ‘Additional Information’ tab will not be useful to me as on some products I’m going to need 3+ more different tabs.

The line breaks have worked, bit of a pain but thank you.
Jodie
