    Hello again,

I created some custom fields for my PMP sign-up form. These are checkboxes to indicate the user’s interests. My intent is to pass these choices to MailPoet for newsletter subscriptions. I have installed the MailPoet Add-On along with PMP.

Example: Three checkboxes (red, green, blue) that the user picks on sign-up for membership. If the user checks green, then I want MailPoet to subscribe the user to receive the green newsletters. So far, I can get a test user to choose green, but MailPoet shows them as having no subscriptions.

How would I get MailPoet to accept the PMP checkbox selections and subscribe the user to the chosen newsletter(s)?

    Thanks for your help!

I added my three checkbox selections (already in the PMP field group) to my MailPoet. The registration form now shows the checkboxes from PMP and MailPoet. My intent is for the user to choose their newsletters as they are registering for the site. Now I have two sets of the same checkboxes. If I remove the PMP fields, then the PMP member database does not have the user’s newsletter selections.

Additional question: How can I get PMP to put the selections made via MailPoet into the member database? And is this possible?

    Thanks!

Hi there, thank you for reaching out to the Paid Memberships Pro team.

Our MailPoet Add On doesn’t have any filters available that you could use to send custom meta data through to it.

The Add On does however support multiple opt-in lists – you might need to do the reverse of this and create the opt-in lists and enable the setting to choose multiple lists on checkout (and then remove the User Fields). The option to choose which ‘list’ or checkbox will then show directly from the Add On and they would be subscribed to the respective list.

    Kind Regards,

Thanks for the suggestion. This is what I ended up implementing.

It would be handy for PMP to be able to add subscription data from the mail plugin into a user record.

    Something to consider.

Only a pleasure, I have passed this feedback on to our team for further consideration as well.
