Is there anything within Jetpack, more precisely, the portfolio post type that would prevent HTML from working in a Custom Field I have setup for header captions using the Advanced Custom Fields plugin for a textarea field? I have this for the single post view header, but no matter what I do with the custom field settings, it doesn’t seem to want to work for this.

The custom field works to a certain point but my HTML is not working in it, but does on normal posts or pages. If I do <h1>Test Caption Heading</h1> in the field, the opening and closing tags of <h1>are showing.

    Thanks in advance.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Jetpack won’t affect the display of Custom Fields you create through other plugins.

I’d suggest that contact the plugin author and ask them about it: it is possible that HTML is escaped when saving the custom fields, for security reasons. It could also be what HTML is removed later, by your theme, when displaying the custom field. You could look at the custom field values saved in your database to find that out.

    I hope this helps.
