    Hi!
I have created some custom fields appearing within ‘Additional Info’ tab but the problem is I want that the content of those tabs will be dynamicly added when i add product information (like description etc).
    Is there a solution please

    Hi Monia,

What sort of information would you like to be automatically added to your products?

The reason I’m asking is because one way to automatically add info would be through the “Select Box” custom field.

For example, when adding a custom field:

    1. Name it (e.g. “Chapter”)
    2. Choose “Select Box” as the Type
    3. Add Input values (such as “One, Two, Three”).

So whenever you add a product, you can choose from the “Chapter” dropdown the options “One”, “Two” or “Three”. If you don’t touch that dropdown, it’ll automatically add “Chapter: One” into the custom field section of the Additional Info tab.

    Hi Monia,

    1. You cannot add custom field information to the “Product Details” tab. By default, it will show in the “Additional Information” tab (you need to make sure that “Display in Tabbed Layout?” is set to “Yes” for your custom field). And I’m not sure what you mean by dynamic, but it already will automatically display the value for each product for each custom field in the Additional Information tab.

If you wanted, you could also create new tabs by going to the “Product Page” area in the plugin admin and choosing “Add Tabs” from the drop-down selector. Then, as described there, you could use the [custom-field-slug] shortcode/placeholder to dynamically display the custom field value for that product in the new tab.

    2. You could make use of the “Labelling” area of the “Options” tab to change the wording of the labels.

    Hi!
Thank you very much, and sorry for this late replay

Well, that’s what i need, bus I don’t understand where can i put this code ‘[custom-field-slug]’ in the product page to dynamically display the custom field value for that product in the new tab

    Hi Monia,

When you’re creating a new tab, you put it in the “Content” box, as in the screenshot here: https://www.etoilewebdesign.com/Screenshots/upcp_custom_field_slug.png.

    Best regards,
