Custom Formatting off – Columns Broken

I had to turn off Custom Formatting due to a conflict with Optima Express plugin. However, now all of my columns are broken.

(In this picture, the first paragraph is two columns, each size=”1/2″, the second paragraph is three columns, size=”2/3″ “1/6” “1/6”)

The ONLY thing I’m using this plugin for – on this site – is columns. Is there any way to fix this while still being compatible? If not, do you have any suggestions for how I can achieve the columns I’m after?
