    Hello WordPress and OceanWP community,

I’ve run into a bit of a snag and I’m not sure how to fix the problem. I’ve been designing my custom header and footers in the ‘Theme Panel’ on the left of the dashboard. The design has made me quite happy and for a while, each webpage was load pretty smoothly.

Now however, I must have made a change that has affected the header and footer. Lately, when I load any of the pages through my browser (either directly typing in the domain, or refreshing the page) my custom header and footer load very sporadically, revealing colors that are not part of my overall design and resizing multiple times.

If anyone is able to help with this issue, it would be greatly appreciated.

  • I am having the same problem; however, I only noticed this strange loading following the updates of this theme and Extra. I originally thought it had something to do with Elementor, though, I am not sure that is the case.

    Hello,

You are using Elelentor Stretch section. Try to disable it and select 100% full-width layout from the OceanWP settings. It will fix the issue.

I am having the same problem.

Why would this just start happening after the latest update?

Amit can you give us a few more details?

I do not think I am using Elemetor Stretch section. Where can I find that?

I set the header to 100% full width in Ocean but it does not fix this.

Hi Amit, that is not the issue that is causing the header to load some other style before the actual header appears

I actually already have “Stretch Section” turned off.

I have passed your query to the theme author. You will get a response from him very soon.

    Thank you

    Amit,

How are things going with this? It makes the site look very unprofessional.

Hello Everyone, sorry for the trouble, I think that the issue come from the new Elementor class, I will work with them to know how to fix this, thank you.

    Hey Guys,

This has been going on for over 5 days now. We have a site with a black banner and every time someone goes to a new page it flashes white. It looks like the site is malfunctioning. This could result in a loss of business.

Hi @suncoastorganics, unfortunately, the Elementor team didn’t answer me yet.

It makes the site look horrible when people navigate it. A week is a long time to have this going on for.

The same issue is occurring with the woocommerce pages. Do you see the sort by popularity button? It loads the wrong code when the page is first loaded and it is then corrected. Just like the header is now. That is not new, but it makes the site look unprofessional when loaded.

Just go to this page and refresh it.

Hi, I’m very sorry, it will take some time to figure it out what is wrong.

For the select box of the shop page, it is not related to this issue and unfortunately cannot be solved except if you disable the script for the select boxes via Theme Panel > Scripts & Styles.

The only script I could find that was for the select boxes was titled “Custom Select”. Disabling it did not fix the issue.

Why are the select boxes on all the shop pages doing that? It makes the site look glitched.

I wonder how many others are experiencing the same problem. I’m actually a little bit surprised that only a few of us have commented so far if so many people seem to used OceanWP in combination with Elementor. Is it possible that it could just be affecting a small percentage of users?

It’s a bit disappointing that this issue has taken so long to resolve if the problem is admittedly outside of the user’s control, but I suppose bugs happen all the time in the world of programming. Nonetheless, it would be nice to have more input on thoughts as to what the problem might be, or that specific steps are being taken to resolve it.

Additionally @suncoastorganics you may be better off starting a new thread if you are having an issue unrelated to the main problem. That way, more people could be reached with the same issue, and you may have better luck in resolving that specific problem faster.

@oceanwp We respect your attention to this problem, but you can only ask patience from your users for so long until we no longer choose to recommend it as a theme to others.

    Best.
