• I’m rebuilding our self-hosted WP 5.2.2 site with ThemeZee’s Admiral theme, but this issue applies to ALL themes I’ve tried.

There is no Header Image option in Appearance → Customize
    https://gyazo.com/7ae1ae1e65a990cf60f523236489dace

    I have tried:

    • Disabling ALL plugins (yes, ALL)
    • Unmodified default themes like 2019

…and the result is the same.

    Any suggestions anyone?

  • The header image option is a core option, but it has to be supported by the theme. Twenty Nineteen does not support it. Lots of other themes do. I don’t know about the Admiral theme, but you could ask in the theme’s support forum.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

The Admiral theme explicitly supports it, according to their docs. In addition to 2019 I also tried the other themes I have lying around of the 20xx variety, but I suppose they may have the same limitation.

However, the fact remains that Admiral is supposed to support it and the docs include screen shots showing it.

While I will ask in the theme’s forum as you suggest, my strong suspicion is that this is a system issue and not related to a specific theme.

    Any further suggestions anyone?

Well, it turns out that the documentation for Admiral is in fact incorrect. Although it explicitly states that the feature is available in the theme, I received an email from them that says it doesn’t.

Anyone got any good solutions for ADDING a full-width header image – a plugin perhaps, or a code tweak?

    Thanks!
