• Hi all,

I’m building a fairly simple site with Elementor Pro and have an issue with my custom header dissappearing on Single and Archive templates.

For all of my builds I use roots/bedrock and roots/sage as my framework and starter theme. The header is custom built using the header.blade.php and scss within roots/sage.

Everything was fine until I came to setting up a Single and an Archive template in the Theme builder. For some reason the custom header does not show up at all on these pages and I’ve no idea why?

I’m getting an error relating to comments but I don’t think this is related:

Notice: Theme without comments.php is deprecated since version 3.0.0 with no alternative available. Please include a comments.php template in your theme. in /Users/kevin.price-ward/Sites/greg_orme/public_html/wp/wp-includes/functions.php on line 4592

    Can anyone provide any advice/help?

    Many thanks
    Kevin

  • If your template is using the Elementor Canvas page layout, then Canvas automatically removes header and footer. Choose Default page layout or Elementor Full Width instead.

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply however it’s already on the ‘default’ template. I have tried switching to Elementor Canvas, just to test it, an error came up saying that the preview couldn’t be loaded and that something had gone wrong.

    Any other ideas?

    Kevin
