Custom HOME-page template

    For some time I’ve been developing a custom page template for the home page. First issue was making the child theme work, but that is now (temporarily) solved thanks to some creative guys.

    Now I have the my-page.php ready with tons of custom code to make the home-page look really great. I tested it extensively and everything works… UNTIL I actually activated this page as HOME-page. From that moment all my customizations disappear, and it looks like the theme is no longer using my template!

    By the way – I have no is_home() or is_first() clauses in my template.

    This is my first time I encountered this problem. Any ideas to work around this?

    I think I’ve solved my own problem. After renaming my-page.php to front-page.php all works again.
