Custom HTML Source???

  • Is it possible to use my own source and simply use wordpress as a CMS? If so how can I upload my source/modify the source through the wordpress admin dashboard?

  • Only to a limited extent. You will still need a theme which will control the basic layout of the site’s content.

    I’m not worried about the layout (eg. main column, sidebar, footer) I just want to edit the HTML for such sections so that I don’t have to do it through wordpress, and I can accomplish the aesthetic I want. Possible?

    WordPress has an HTML editor that you can use to add your own markup.
