Custom HTML widget not working Custom Sidebars

I’m trying to add HTML to a sidebar and I can’t figure out how to add html code to the custom HTML widget once it’s been added to a sidebar. The widget bar adds to the sidebar fine, but it won’t allow me to copy and paste or type any code into it.
I’m running WP 5.5 currently. And PHP 7.1 which will be upgraded shortly.

I’ve tested adding code to a Custom HTML widget in custom sidebar and it works fine:
If you can’t type anything there I suspect that something is not working correctly and it can be caused by a plugin conflict. Can you run a plugin conflict test?
To perform a conflict test please follow the steps from the flowchart:
