• Hey guys/girls.

I am having a few problems with my Index page, and Blog.

Basically I decided, I wanted a lander page on the root of my domain. I created a page, named it index, and then set my front page to be this static page.

I then set my blog url in setting to be /blog

What I want is my landing page at domain.com, then my blog at domain.com/blog

What I get however is that domain.com, and domain.com/blog both load up my custom index page… any ideas how I fix this?

To make it more complicated, I have created some tools using the exec-php plugin.

I have a page called tools which is a parent page of 5 tools.
I would like the url of these to be domain.com/tools/tool-name-here

    Summary :
    -domain.com Static Landing page.
-domain.com/blog My Blog, then posts would be domain.com/blog/category/post-name
    -domain.com/tools my tools…

Any Help would be enormously appreciated.
    Thanks

Thanks for the idea, working almost great BUT still one big problem

    domain.com shows landing pages
    domain.com/tools shows tools
    domain.com/tools/ddd shows correct sub tool

BUT domain.com/blog has the theme, but simply says
    “Not Found
Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.”

Any ideas on how to get the blog working?
    Thanks

do you have a post on the blog yet? No posts will do that.

Yes, I have numerous posts on there…

I have since also noticed another problem.
On clicking the link to a post from Recent posts, I noticed the link was domain.com/post-title-here
I would like it to be domain.com/blog/post-title-here

    Thanks

Any suggestions as to my current predicament? This is pretty urgent.
    Cheeers

It sounds like you’ve installed your blog in the root / directory of your domain. You will need to install WordPress in the /blog/ directory to get it to work the way you want.

If this is not the case, then what do you have configured as the “default” document for the / and /blog/ directories? It should be index.html for / and index.php for /blog/
