Custom JS for a Page not updating

  • I’m using Prefer-Blog theme for my website. But I’m facing a problem to write custom JS for an HTML page. Writing embedded JS in HTML through WordPress works fine. But changing JS file on server, doesn’t reflect back changes on the aforementioned page. How could I make sure changing JS file on server reflect back instantly on browser. I’ve tried clearing browser cache and disabling every caching plugin. It also happens with the images. I’m using DreamHost’s server.

    There is no issue that we see from our end because of the theme.
    Are you editing theme code directly? There might be various cases in that JS doesn’t work.

    So, I request to contact via support channel.

    JS works fine. I’ve tried it on local server. The problem is, JS added in a custom HTML page doesn’t reflect back even after changing JS. But if we rename the JS and include it in HTML with the new name. It works. So I guess html page is caching JS.
