custom language linking

    i am building a multilingual wordpress site with four languages (still staging)

    i have used the multisite feature in wordpress with subdirectories like

    domain.com english version
    domain.com/fr/ french
    domain.com/es/ spanish
    domain.com/de/ deutch

    i need a way of linking these translations in the backend and implementing the hreflang tags automatically including a language switcher in the frontend.

    how can polylang help with this?

    i don’t want to use the subdirectory feature provided with polylang since i already used it from wordpress multisite feature.

    i just want to link the translations in the backend so they appear in a single dashboard

  • It is not possible and it makes no sense, what you try to achieve.
    Polylang is for handle translated post types in one site. It is not possible to do it multisite wide.
    If you need one site for one language you do not need Polylang to handle the translation.
