    Hi,

We need to apply custom error messages for when the email address and&or password are empty and incorrect. What codes do we need to add to functions.php to get this going? Eg

Empty login – our custom error message
Wrong login – our custom error message
Empty pw – our custom error message
Wrong pw – our custom error message

Did check https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Plugin_API/Filter_Reference/login_errors but it didn’t work out of the box, getting in_array errors.

  • What a coincidence. I have a client who just noticed that the links in the error messages (when you get password wrong etc) point to the root and do not use the links setup on the TML Redirection settings. I’m having to CSS remove the links from the error message until can figure out how to get TML to do it.

Bug or am I missing a setting or switch somewhere in TML to do this?

    Thanks,

    Found answer at https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/233189/overriding-wp-login-credentials/233214

Would be nice if this was in the docs, would save the google session hours ??

Ah I see… my question is subtly different in that TML should use the redirect settings we give it in the links in the error messages also… rather than us having to create our own custom messages. Perhaps someone involved in TML could advise if my issue is a bug, ommision, or have I missed a setting?

Smuglet – best be you create your own thread as I’ve marked this one resolved and yours is a different issue ??

    Good point that @incdigital
