Mega menu text widget disappear when site is migrated

  • I have created mega menu which have 7 columns and have text widget in the list. But whenever I migrate my website it disappear and I have to create whole again .

    Is there any way I can save the mega menu or can I export it so that I don’t have to create it again from the start.

    Hi Ramya,

    To “move” the menu, you would need to export the whole wordpress database and reimport it on the new server, you cannot just export the menu sorry.

    Hello,

    It’s about migration. I am migrating my website from one server to other. I want to export my mega menu and import in the new one. is it possible? It’s really a big menu which take time to recreate so it will be easy for me if I can export and import the mega menu.

    Once I migrated my website but the mega menu disappeared and I had to create it again.

    Hi ramya,

    You would need to export the whole database and import it onto your new server.

    I did this process. I exported my current database and imported on to new server but it still came empty.

    I have created Grid layout in which the submenu’s are inside text widget. Is that the problem?

    Hi ramya19,

    It sounds like something is not right with the export/import. If it is done correctly, then the site should be identical. You may need to ask your host to help you, or it might be quicker to manually readd the widgets.
