It seems that it is a 3.3.1 thing, who knows… but I cannot make a hierarchy in my custom menus. I can go one level deep, then I save the menu… then my changes are erased? Tried several themes, including 2011. Bless, I need help on this one.

  • Are you talking about getting a dropdown-flyout custom menu hierarchy as created under appearance/menus..?

Yup. In the admin area. I can create menus, add to the menu, but I cannot drag them around to create child/parent relationships… which is the drop down-flyout.

I have a bad habit of hacking up jquery in the themes, but that wouldn’t affect this, would it?

Also, older menus that already have this hierarchy thing working are just fine, it is for anything I want to save/change.

It could, also your browser may not have java enabled. It’s often a plugin or theme (new or update) causing it. Can you drag your sidebar widgets?

coincidently, someone in the forums today had the same issue with sidebar widgets, said they fixed it with a plugin called google libraries.. I tried to get some details but haven’t heard back.

I have the same exact issue. Any closure here?

    Me too.

I found google libraries and installed it, but it didn’t help.

I can drag my sidebar widgets, but my custom menu won’t save correctly AND I can’t drag to parent/child. I haven’t touched any jquery – only changes to the css file in my child theme.

    Any ideas?

It was a browser thing. An outdated version of Chrome running on Ubuntu.

Thank you, crt. I tried it in firefox and all is well!

Unfortunately, I have the latest version of chrome, so I’ll head over to those forums to figure out if they have a fix. (I really like using Chrome!)

    Thanks again!
