• I did as requested and posted to an existing thread, the result being that the thread is languishing on page 8 with no response after a day, so I’m starting a new thread.

    The custom menu has been giving timeouts after it grew to over about 30 items. From earlier threads I gather this is a bug.

    I did as suggested in earlier threads and contacted my hosting company, who increased the time limit from 30 seconds to 60 seconds, which still isn’t sufficient. They told me I’d have to switch to VPS hosting to get more time.

    Not going to do that when apparently the problem is caused by a bug.

    Since our menu will eventually have hundreds of items, we’ve had to revert to the standard menu, meaning we’ve lost some features that we really needed and that were available on the custom menu.

    My question is – has this bug been sorted on more recent versions of the software than 3.0.1, such that we can use it for a menu that will eventually be huge? Or are we going to have to stick with the standard menu and put up with losing a bunch of features? I’m not seeing a lot of recent complaints about the menu, so I was wondering if the problem is solved, and, if so, if it’s solved to the point where really large menus can be accommodated.
