• Hi,

I was about to ask how to add a button to the Menu that is a hyperlink to another site, but have it look just like the actual menu buttons? (i.e. about, blog, etc.)

But, now I also have a related question. On my multi-site sites each menu has “Blog”, which takes you to the blog for that site.

Is there any way to customize the menu buttons to say what I want, while I have a different actual page title that says something other than “Blog”?

    Thanks!

  • In the dashboard, menus, you can place a url as a menu item.

That solves the issue of adding a link to my other site. Thanks.

Unfortunately that does not solve my problem of renaming the Blog but keeping the menu button as Blog.

I have a static front page, and on the Menu there is “Blog” to go to the posts page.

Yoast SEO wants the “title” of my posts page to have lots of words in it, which would disrupt the menu.

I would like to have my Menu button say “Blog” but have the actual page title in the meta/titles be something more descriptive like “news from the World of Acoustic Guitars.”

When I tried setting the button by the custom url and changing the display title, it just changes the title of the page itself and I am back to square one.
