Custom Meta Box For Pages & Posts for Slideshow?

Hi,

How would I go about creating a custom meta box that appears on pages & posts, that has a checkbox, which would mean that if checked, this page or post content would be included in a homepage slideshow that I would hard code into the theme?

I have found tuts on how to create a custom meta box but haven’t a clue how to take that information and pull in the page of posts content to be included in a slider.

Any help would be appreciated.
