Custom order of co-authors

Hello! We installed the Co-Authors plugin and love it so far. However, we noticed that co-authors are always listed in alphabetical order, instead of the custom order we use in the WordPress post editor (for example: “Andrea and Ben” when we want “Ben and Andrea”).
As custom ordering is important in academic and journalism publications like ours, would you be able to share if this is possible? We appreciate your help!
