Custom Page Templates not showing

    The custom page templates I’ve uploaded are not found when creating a new page.

    I’ve created many custom templates with other themes. Just upload the files into the theme folder with the proper syntax and they become Template options when creating a page.

    Is there an extra step with this theme?

    BTW, I am using a child theme.

    thanks for using MH Magazine lite.

    Actually you can create page templates with this theme like with any other WordPress theme on the market. The concept behind page templates is handled by WordPress and not affected by the theme.

    You could check the file homepage.php to see an example for a custom page template. It’s important that you define the template name properly. Here you can find more information: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Page_Templates
