Custom Payment Gateways – selection of currencies

  • Good day, I live in south africa which does not allow an transaction in any currency except ZAR. This means that we are forced to convert our multiple currencies to local ZAR by default for our Sagepay gateway. The plug in used works well.

    I understand that it may be difficult to grasp living in a free country but we need an alternative to satisfy our market who when seeing the ZAR amount at final checkout [ Sagepay ] suffer a brain freeze not realising that it is a conversion from USD to ZAR.

    My question is as follows keeping in mind that we wish to use the ZAR for local purchased but accept other currencies using the Paypal gateway.

    Q1 ] Will your plugin allow a product default currency say ZAR currently through the sagepay gateway, but also allow a second tier currency i.e. USD to be used to satisfy Paypal. Paypal does not recognise ZAR.

    Q2] Are you aware of such plugin?
