    Hi there,

I really like the plugin but what’s missing in my opinion is the option to either set custom Google News topic keywords per post or at least as global setting.

For me either the tags nor the categories make sense as they don’t contain any relevant Google news keywords… I do mainly use the same keywords for my posts so a set of global Google News keywords applied for all posts would be really great.

    Thanks!

    Cheers,
    Thomas

Hi stl99, as I understand it you want a custom taxonomy “Google News Keywords” next to “Categories” and “Tags”? This is a nice idea.

It will be implemented in the next version but I don’t have time right now to work on development. I hope in two weeks…

    That would be great, yes!

    Thanks for considering!

For the time being, you might want to install the development version from https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/xml-sitemap-feed/developers/ (under Other Versions) and set the Topics to “Use None for topics.”

Then save the options and scroll down again. You will now see a field “Default topic(s)” which you can use to define your ‘set of global Google News keywords’ ??

    Cool, thanks!

Is this development version safe to use on a live site…?
