custom photo header

  • Hi everyone,

    I would like to put my own photo in the header. I’m using the Default template of WordPress 2.1. Is there a quick tutorial or plug-in to tell me how?

    The documentation you mention doesn’t give instructions for changing the header of the Default theme. I realize it is harder than for other themes, and I have tried to do it on my own and failed, and that is why I am looking for a set of explicit instructions somewhere. Surely other people have tried to do this before.

    Does anyone know how?

    Re #1. Ooops, I stand corrected. Since WP 2.0.4 they have changed the header.php in the default theme.
    (to be honest: no decent helper really likes it, so I guess we never checked it out, and didn’t even notice that the formerly existing instructions in that header file have been removed)
