According to https://complianz.io/changing-the-default-social-placeholders/ “For the individual placeholder you should use ‘placeholder-service.jpg’, for example: domain/wp-content/themes/your-theme-folder/complianz-gdpr/instagram-minimal.jpg”

    I tried both “placeholder-youtube.jpg” and “youtube-minimal.jpg”.

This is a dev site, and I cannot link to it here.

    Hi @swinggraphics,

This occurs with the YouTube integration specifically, as the YouTube integration will use the placeholder from the actual embedded video itself.

If this is not desired, you’ll likely need to disable the default YouTube integration under Complianz -> Integrations -> Services, and create your own in the Script Center (Complianz -> Integrations -> Script Center -> Block a script, iframe or plugin).

In my case with a YouTube embed in Gutenberg:

I disabled the default YouTube integration, and created a new entry in the Script Center where I used youtube.com as the “URL to Block”, answered “Yes” to “Enable placeholder”, ticked “The blocked content is an iFrame” and used the “Default” placeholder option.

Then use ‘default-minimal.jpg’ as the file name of your placeholder.

    Kind regards, Jarno

It was not doing that before, but it is now! This is perfect. Before, it was showing the generic default placeholder image in the plugin’s assets folder.

    Hi @swinggraphics,

    Thank you for the follow-up!

Now I understand what prompted your question, I previously assumed that you wanted to override the existing YouTube ‘thumbnail’ placeholders.

I’ll mark this as resolved, but let me know if you have any further questions.

    Kind regards, Jarno
