Custom Post by Category Carousel that displays clickable links?

    Hi,

    I am building a site for a client who is happy to buy the Pro version of Metaslider but we need to know if we can definitely create Carousels that fulfils the following criteria:

    • we can have carousels throughout the site that are based on specific WP Categories
    • we are hoping that for Post Carousels they will obey the HTML contained in the post, specifically that they will observe paragraphs/line breaks when grabbing the text content.
    • that any links within the post content will still work/be clickable when displayed in the carousel

    I’d really appreciate it if anyone here (preferably someone from Metaslider) can confirm that the Pro version can satisfy the above requirements, and if so we’ll go ahead and purchase.

    Hi Nick.

    Thanks for your interest in MetaSlider.

    • Yes, you can have posts that correspond to specific categories.
    • Generally the answer is yes, but this may depend on the editor and HTML layout you’re using. Gutenberg blocks and Classic Editor layouts are more likely to keep their formatitng.
    • Yes, any links will remain in the text if you use the {content_with_formatting} tag in the slide.

    Hi Steve,

    That’s fantastic, thanks for confirming. Actually I have another query, I am building the site on a test server at the moment – should we go ahead and purchase the Pro version and use that on the test server, and then use the same registration key on the eventual live version? Or if we can’t do that how would we get round having to buy it twice?

    Hi @nickwp2017. We love it when people use test sites and are happy to give extra licenses for that.

    Ah great thank you – so what way do we do it, shall I get the client to buy the license and ask for an extra one for the test server?
