    Hi Dale,
    Thanks for posting your question here. There is not a way to add custom data fields right now (without code mods, which will create a maintenance issue as you point out).

    HOWEVER, you can re-purpose existing data fields simply by changing the field labels in the shortcode as explained on this man page.
