Known request, but we’re not budging until Core makes some movement first.

Yup, it’s been quite a while and it’s puzzling why Core continues to sit on the issue. Custom Post Status is a feature that’ll open up a whole new way of using WP. Also, the WP “archive post” is a little too pseudo and deserves it’s own post status in it’s own right, among others.
