    Hi there,

    I would like to use this in a CPT – I cannot find the original single post file to copy over.

    Also is there a way to use shortcodes or something similar (I am a proficient coder) to manually place the short details, longer description and button?

    You can find the single post template file in the plugin template folder. the file path is given below.

    The template file path: plugins/wp-event-aggregator/templates/wpea-event-meta.php

    As you are a developer so you can customize the template as you need. We have a shortcode for displaying events in different formats. You can check that out here. There is no shortcode for separate fields.
