    Hi,

I am having issues with Jetpack open graphs on my custom post type. I deactivated wordpress seo to see if it was not conflicting with Jetpack, but that was not the case.

After my post is published on facebook, only the title and snippet are visible.
When I try to debug with their debugger tool I get the following error:

Error parsing input URL, no data was cached, or no data was scraped.

But when I click “Show existing scrape information” I see every item that should be there.

How can I solve this issue, cause it’s been going on for a while now.

When I try to debug with their debugger tool I get the following error:

Error parsing input URL, no data was cached, or no data was scraped.

But when I click “Show existing scrape information” I see every item that should be there.

That means that Facebook wasn’t able to grab any information off the post the first time it crawled the page. That issue is not related to the plugin you use to handle Open Graph Meta Tags on your site, so deactivating WordPress SEO won’t help here.

I’d suggest checking your raw access logs for Facebook’s first access to one of your Custom Post Types, and see if there were any errors there, or if it took a long time for your site to respond when Facebook tried to access the page.

If you’re not sure how to access your raw access logs, your hosting provider should be able to help.

Let me know how it goes.

Hey Jeremy, I have contacted my host about this issue. They couldn’t find any problems on my access logs.

But I have noticed more people on facebook support that are experiencing the same issue. So this is still unresolved.

It might be worth reporting the bug to Facebook developers here:

They might be able to find out what’s wrong on your site.
