custom post type and search

  • Hello,
    I hope Im posting at the right place…
    I am trying to add a section in my site where users can post their services and addresses, perhaps with some other information and images. I guess I need to figure out how to create custom post first to get this done but I also want the site users to be able to use some sort of search form to search through information posted using this custom post type, for example, to search for services available at certain town (info from address), can someone please tell me how this can be done? perhaps there are some plugins that are for jobs like this?

    It seems that you are looking to create a classified website where your visitors or users can plublish their own offer or item to sell.

    You can try for example a plugin called WPAdverts – Classifieds Plugin, that you can install for free.

    There are also a couple of themes that are designed to fit an adverts website needs. You can find more on Themeforest for example.
