Custom Post Type Archive w/ Custom Parent Page Breadcrumb

  • The basics of what I’m trying to do is to show a WordPress Page as the parent of a Custom Post Type Archive in the breadcrumbs. For example:

    I have a CPT called ‘Reviews’ that I’ve set up. I’ve rewritten the URL so that it points to /background/reviews/ and have made it hierarchal. In my Menus, I have it listed as a subnav item to a page called Background.

    I would like Background to show up in the breadcrumbs before Reviews when a visitor is on the Reviews archive page.

    Right now it shows:

    Home ? Reviews

    I would like it to show:

    Home ? Background ? Reviews

    Any thoughts?
