    Does translation work with a default theme, rather than Elementor?

    Does translation work if using an open translation plugin, such as Polylang?

    Without knowing specifics about the configuration and how these three plugins interact, the above tests may help narrow down the issue.

    It is challenging to recommend further regarding WPML at this time, as the code base is a separate data structure in addition to WordPress, and the code is not easily available for analysis and testing.

    Similarly, Elementor is a theme which overrides many WordPress default data structures.

    So, testing translation with a default theme, then testing translation with an alternative translation manager such as Polylang or WordPress multisite (where each sub-site represents a language) may yield the most effective results.
