    Hi there,

    thank you for the nice plugin.
    I successfully created custom post types. They are listed in the admin dashboard. I plan to notify subscribers when a new custom post is published. I use the plugin Better Notifications for WP, but unfortunately it does not recognise the new custom post types created with your plugin. I tried other notification plugins as well, without any success.
    Is there anything I should do to make it work? Or will this be working after the next release of your plugin is made available?

    best regards

    Hi @nimrod54 ?? and thanks for using the plugin!
    I just did a test, and it works fine. Here’s what I did:

    1. I created the custom post type “Customers” with my plugin;
    2. Installed the plugin “Better Notifications for WP”;
    3. From “Notifications > Add New” I created the notification (in “Notification For” I chose “Custom Post Type – ‘Customers’ > New ‘Customers’ Published”);
    4. I added a new “Customers”;
    5. I received a notification email from the plugin “Better Notifications for WP”;

    Seems to work fine, did you also do this process?

    Have you checked if the site is sending other emails (registration, comments, etc.)? It could be a problem sending emails, or checking the SPAM or junk folder of your email inbox.

    If you liked this plugin, leave a 5-star review to recommend it to future users.

    Let me know, see you soon!

    @andreadegiovine Don’t put ?filter=5 in your review links, it hides the non-5 star reviews from the person who uses that link and that’s not being completely honest. That’s not necessary as the stars default to 5 for all new reviews. The reviewer would manually need to change it to something other than 5 if they wanted to.

    I’ve removed that part and now they’ll see the actual reviews and not just the 5 star ones.

    Hi Andrea,

    I took steps 1 and 2 successfully.
    Step 3: I could not choose “Custom post type – ‘<my_new_custom_post_type>’ …
    I see in Better Notifications all other custom post types created by other plugins, but not the post type I created with your plugin. Again, same is true for other notification plugins i tried.

    I checked my site is sending emails without any problem.

    I assume there is a conflict with another plugin. I will set up a new wordpress site for testing and try again within the next few days.

    btw I’m using the elementor plugin. Could this cause any conflict?

    best regards

    I did another test. I deactivated your plugin and installed and activated a different plugin and created a custom post type. This custom post type is recognised by Better notifications.

    Is the created post type set as public? That setting includes other post type settings. I suggest you try changing “Visibility” to “YES” and it should work.
    I’m working on an update that includes fixes for this situation.
    Let me know if it works.
