custom post type slug url

  • Hello,

    I am using CPT UI for making a custom post type.
    I have the custom post type named “projects” and changed the slug to “references”
    This works fine and my URL is

    /references/projectname

    however when i activate HTML for all URL this changes to

    /projects/projectname.html

    I can’t seem to figure out how to solve this problem, hope someone is willing to guide me in the right direction.

    I have a dutch website and I don’t really use /projects/ and /references/ but thought this would be easier to explain. A solution could be to change the post type name from projects to references but this is not possible since my actual slug uses a dash and a post type name is not allowed to use this (says cpt ui)
