• I am using Twenty Twenty two theme.
I have created a Custom Post Type using CPTUI.
Also, i have created a custom template with many blocks added for that Custom Post Type.
When i click Add New in the wordpress editor for that Custom Post Type, I get a post page that is normally shown when we Add from the regular Post Menu. The customization I have done for the templates are not visible. However, in the sidebar, the template is showing the new name i have given for that custom post template. I don’t know what mistake I have done. Can anyone help.
    Thanks for any help

Just to make sure I am following you, are you trying to pre-populate the template for this Custom Post Type with a specific set of blocks or are you just trying to have a custom layout?

Could you please use snipboard.io or some other similar service to share a few screenshots of what the current setup looks like?

    Thank you!

    Thanks for the message.
Yes, I have prepopulated the template with a set of blocks. The template is for a posting Real Estate Properties. The blocks include, buttons, google map(html), you tube, gallery etc.
I don’t know of snapboard. I can take a screen shot using nimbus, if that will help

    Hi @jayemdas

I see, thank you for confirming this. Could you share more on the exact path you have followed to pre-populate this CPT? You could either share the code or share a link to a screenshot (any method works).

    Thank you!

    Path:
WordPress editor Appearance/Editor(Beta)>Site Logo>Templates>Add New>CPT Post Type(created earlier with CPTUI)>Populated with Blocks from Header onwards.
All the blocks are visible and looks fine. But, when a new post is sought to be added by Add New under the CPTUI menu, it doesn’t show any of the Blocks. However, in the sidebar the template is showing as the one created earlier. Thanks once again

That you for the additional details.

I registered a new CPT (“Books”) using CPTUI and header to the Site Editor. I clicked on “New> Single Item: Book”

I made sure I clicked on the “Add a template for all books” option:

Once there, I customized this new template by adding a new paragraph:

Lastly, I created a new “book”, published it, and confirmed that the paragraph I had added was right there, just above the title:

Could you please confirm you go this far from your end? Were you expecting the content you added to the template to be visible in the editor when creating a new CPT?
